MS-SQL Server - Managing
your SQL Databases
- There are three ways to build
and manage tables within MS-SQL7.
A) Execute individual SQL commands from within your pages.
B) Build the database in Access 2000, and then upsize into SQL
Server.
C) Connect to the SQL Server using SQL Server Enterprise
Manager.
Generally, you will want to upsize from Access or work
directly with the DB using Enterprise Manager. If you want to
execute custom SQL statements for building and managing tables
from within your page, you should head to the book store and
buy some books about SQL syntax. Custom crafting statements to
create tables is not hard to do, but it is the least
user-friendly way of building the tables. Most LaMarSOFT
customers will choose to upsize from an existing Access 2000
database or to connect to the SQL Server using SQL Server
Enterprise Manager.
